حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ أَنَّ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَهُمْ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ أَنَّهُ قَالَأَصَبْتُ شَارِفًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَغْنَمٍ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ قَالَ وَأَعْطَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَارِفًا أُخْرَى فَأَنَخْتُهُمَا يَوْمًا عِنْدَ بَابِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَحْمِلَ عَلَيْهِمَا إِذْخِرًا لِأَبِيعَهُ وَمَعِي صَائِغٌ مِنْ بَنِي قَيْنُقَاعَ فَأَسْتَعِينَ بِهِ عَلَى وَلِيمَةِ فَاطِمَةَ وَحَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ المُطَّلِبِ يَشْرَبُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْبَيْتِ مَعَهُ قَيْنَةٌ فَقَالَتْ أَلَا يَا حَمْزُ لِلشُّرُفِ النِّوَاءِفَثَارَ إِلَيْهِمَا حَمْزَةُ بِالسَّيْفِ فَجَبَّ أَسْنِمَتَهُمَا وَبَقَرَ خَوَاصِرَهُمَا ثُمَّ أَخَذَ مِنْ أَكْبَادِهِمَا قُلْتُ لِابْنِ شِهَابٍ وَمِنْ السَّنَامِ قَالَ قَدْ جَبَّ أَسْنِمَتَهُمَا فَذَهَبَ بِهَا قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى مَنْظَرٍ أَفْظَعَنِي فَأَتَيْتُ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِنْدَهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ الْخَبَرَ فَخَرَجَ وَمَعَهُ زَيْدٌ فَانْطَلَقْتُ مَعَهُ فَدَخَلَ عَلَى حَمْزَةَ فَتَغَيَّظَ عَلَيْهِ فَرَفَعَ حَمْزَةُ بَصَرَهُ وَقَالَ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا عَبِيدٌ لِآبَائِي فَرَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَهْقِرُ حَتَّى خَرَجَ عَنْهُمْ وَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ تَحْرِيمِ الْخَمْرِ

Narrated to us Ibrahim bin Musa, informed us Hisham, that Ibn Juraij informed them, he Sa'd narrated to me Ibn Shihab, from 'Ali bin Husain bin 'Ali, from his father Husain bin 'Ali, from 'Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with them), that he said: 'I obtained a fine young camel with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from the spoils of Badr.' He said: 'And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me another camel. One day, I tethered them at the door of an Ansari man while I intended to carry grass on them to sell, and with me was a goldsmith from Banu Qainuqa', whom I sought help from for Fatimah?s wedding feast. Hamzah bin 'Abdul Muttalib was drinking in that house with a singing slave girl who said: "Who is strong enough for these fine camels?" Hamzah rushed to them with a sword, cut off their humps, slit their flanks, and took their livers.' I asked Ibn Shihab: 'And from the hump?' He said: 'He cut off their humps and took them.' Ibn Shihab said: 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I saw a horrific sight, so I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who was with Zaid bin Harithah, and informed him. He went out with Zaid, and I followed. He entered upon Hamzah and was angry with him. Hamzah looked up and said: 'Are you not but slaves of my forefathers?' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) backed away until he left them. This was before the prohibition of alcohol.'
