حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَادَ رَجُلًا قَدْ جُهِدَ حَتَّى صَارَ مِثْلَ الْفَرْخِ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَمَا كُنْتَ تَدْعُو أَمَا كُنْتَ تَسْأَلُ رَبَّكَ الْعَافِيَةَ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ مَا كُنْتَ مُعَاقِبِي بِهِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ فَعَجِّلْهُ لِي فِي الدُّنْيَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ لَا تُطِيقُهُ أَوْ لَا تَسْتَطِيعُهُ أَفَلَا كُنْتَ تَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Basysyar], narrated to us [Sahl bin Yusuf], narrated to us [Humaid] from [Tsabit Al Bunani] from [Anas bin Malik]. And it has been narrated from another chain: Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Al Mutsanna], narrated to us [Khalid bin Al Harits] from [Humaid] from [Tsabit] from [Anas bin Malik] that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, visited a person who was very ill until he became like a chick then he said to him: Did you not ever supplicate? Did you not ever ask for well-being from your Lord?" The person said: formerly I used to say: O Allah, what You intend to punish me with in the Hereafter then hasten it for me in the world! Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Subhanallah, indeed you will not be able to bear it, did you not supplicate: ALLAAHUMMA AATINAA FID DUNYAA HASANAH WA FIL AAKHIRATI HASANAH, WA QINAA 'ADZAABANNAAR (O Allah, give us in the world goodness, and in the Hereafter goodness and protect us from the punishment of the Fire). Abu Isa said: this hadith is hasan sahih gharib from this chain. And it has been narrated from other than this chain from Anas shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam."
