Narrated to us [Abdah bin Abdullah] and [Ahmad bin Sulaiman] both said :Narrated to us [Abu Daud] from [Badar bin Uthman] said :Narrated to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Musa] from [his father] he said : "A man came to the Prophet sallallaahu'alaihi wasallam and asked him about the prayer times, but he did not answer at all. But he sallallaahu'alaihi wasallam told Bilal to perform iqamat then he said the Fajr prayer when Fajr rose. Then he told Bilal to iqamat when the sun had gone down, then prayed the Dhuhr prayer - the narrator said, "At noon" Bilal knew better -. Then he told Bilal to iqamat when the sun was still high for the Asr prayer. Then he ordered Bilal to perform iqamat when the sun had set for the Maghrib prayer. Then he ordered him to perform the Isha prayer when the red prayer had disappeared. Then he ended the Fajr prayer the next day when he finished - the narrator said, "the sun was about to rise." Shallallahu'alaihi wasallam pray maghrib until the mega red was almost gone, and he ended the Isha prayer until a third of the night. Then he sallallaahu'alaihi wasallam said: 'The time for prayer is that which is between the two'.
