Imam Ahmad : 12262حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي صَدَقَةَ مَوْلَى أَنَسٍ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ شُعْبَةُ خَيْرًا قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ إِذَا زَالَتْ الشَّمْسُ وَالْعَصْرَ بَيْنَ صَلَاتَيْكُمْ هَاتَيْنِ وَالْمَغْرِبَ إِذَا غَرَبَتْ الشَّمْسُ وَالْعِشَاءَ إِذَا غَابَ الشَّفَقُ وَالصُّبْحَ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ إِلَى أَنْ يَنْفَسِحَ الْبَصَرُ
Narrated to us [Hajjaj], has narrated to me [Syu'bah] from [Abu Sadaqah] the slave Anas, - and Shu'bah praised him with goodness - he said: "I once asked [Anas] about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah Shallallahu'alaihi wa Sallam, Anas replied: "The Messenger of Allah Shallallahu'alaihi wa Sallam prayed the Dhuhr prayer when the sun had slanted and (the) Asr prayer between these two of your prayers. And the Maghrib prayer when the sun had set and the Isha prayer when the red twilight had disappeared. And the Subuh prayer when dawn had appeared until the vision was clear.
