Imam Bukhari : 729حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارُ بْنُ سَلَامَةَ قَالَدَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَبِي عَلَى أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ وَقْتِ الصَّلَوَاتِ فَقَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ حِينَ تَزُولُ الشَّمْسُ وَالْعَصْرَ وَيَرْجِعُ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَالشَّمْسُ حَيَّةٌ وَنَسِيتُ مَا قَالَ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ وَلَا يُبَالِي بِتَأْخِيرِ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ وَلَا يُحِبُّ النَّوْمَ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا الْحَدِيثَ بَعْدَهَا وَيُصَلِّي الصُّبْحَ فَيَنْصَرِفُ الرَّجُلُ فَيَعْرِفُ جَلِيسَهُ وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ أَوْ إِحْدَاهُمَا مَا بَيْنَ السِّتِّينَ إِلَى الْمِائَةِ
Narrated to us Adam, he Sa'd narrated to us Syu'bah, he Sa'd narrated to us Sayyar bin Salamah, he Sa'd 'My father and I visited Abu Barzah Al Aslami, and we asked him about the times of prayer.' He then Sa'd 'The Prophet peace be upon him, performed the Zuhr prayer when the sun had passed its zenith, the 'Asr prayer when a person could return to the farthest part of Medina while the sun was still hot, and I forgot what he Sa'dabout the Maghrib prayer. He often delayed the 'Isha prayer until the last third of the night, and he disliked sleeping before it or talking after it. He performed the Subh prayer at a time when, upon finishing, a person could recognize the one praying beside him. He recited in the Subh prayer, in both rak'ahs or one of them, about sixty to one hundred verses.'
