Penjelasan waktu-waktu shalat: zhuhur, ashar, maghrib, isya, dan subuh
Imam Ahmad : 18959حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبِي انْطَلِقْ إِلَى أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ فَانْطَلَقْتُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى دَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي دَارِهِ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ فِي ظِلِّ عُلْوٍ مِنْ قَصَبٍ فَجَلَسْنَا إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ شَدِيدِ الْحَرِّ فَسَأَلَهُ أَبِي حَدِّثْنِي كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الْمَكْتُوبَةَ قَالَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْهَجِيرَ الَّتِي تَدْعُونَهَا الْأُولَى حِينَ تَدْحَضُ الشَّمْسُ وَكَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ أَحَدُنَا إِلَى رَحْلِهِ فِي أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَالشَّمْسُ حَيَّةٌ قَالَ وَنَسِيتُ مَا قَالَ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ قَالَ وَكَانَ يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يُؤَخِّرَ الْعِشَاءَ الَّتِي تَدْعُونَهَا الْعَتَمَةَ قَالَ وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ النَّوْمَ قَبْلَهَا وَالْحَدِيثَ بَعْدَهَا قَالَ وَكَانَ يَنْفَتِلُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ حِينَ يَعْرِفُ أَحَدُنَا جَلِيسَهُ وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِالسِّتِّينَ إِلَى الْمِائَةِ
Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Ja'far]; Narrated to us ['Auf] from [Abu Al Minhal] saying; my father said to me; "Go to [Abu Barzah Al Aslamy]!." So I then went to meet him with my father until arriving at his house while he was sitting leaning on one of the pillars of his house made of bamboo. We then sat in front of him while the day at that time was very hot, my father then asked; "Tell me how the Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him performed the obligatory prayers!." He said: It was that he the Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him when performing prayer in the hot day (Zhuhur prayer) which you all call first was when the sun shifted to the west, as for the 'Ashar prayer it was when one of us returned to his house in Medina while the sun was still shining brightly as high as a spear's length." He (Abu Barzah) continued; "And I forgot what he (the Messenger) said at the time of Maghrib and He (the Messenger) liked to delay the 'Isya prayer and he hated sleeping before it (before 'Isya) and talking (chatting) after it. He finished the shubuh prayer when one of us knew that he had read sixty to a hundred verses.
