حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَكَانُوا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّ الْعُمْرَةَ فِي أَشْهُرِ الْحَجِّ مِنْ أَفْجَرِ الْفُجُورِ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَيَجْعَلُونَ الْمُحَرَّمَ صَفَرًا وَيَقُولُونَ إِذَا بَرَا الدَّبَرْ وَعَفَا الْأَثَرْ وَانْسَلَخَ صَفَرْ حَلَّتْ الْعُمْرَةُ لِمَنْ اعْتَمَرْ قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ صَبِيحَةَ رَابِعَةٍ مُهِلِّينَ بِالْحَجِّ فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً فَتَعَاظَمَ ذَلِكَ عِنْدَهُمْ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ الْحِلِّ قَالَ حِلٌّ كُلُّهُ
Narrated to us Musa bin Isma'il, narrated to us Wuhaib, narrated to us Ibn Thowus from his father from Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them, said: People considered performing umrah during hajj months the greatest sin on earth, called Muharram as Safar, and said: When the camel's wound heals, hajj traces vanish, and Safar passes, umrah is permissible for those who perform it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions arrived on the fourth morning of Dzul Hijjah, entering ihram for hajj. He ordered them to make it umrah. This was significant to them, so they asked: O Messenger of Allah, what is permissible? He said: All is permissible.
