Sesungguhnya imam dijadikan untuk diikuti, apabila dia rukuk maka rukuklah, bila dia mengangkat kepalanya maka angkatlah kepala
Imam Abu Dawud : 511حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَمُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَعْنَى عَنْ وُهَيْبٍ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ فَكَبِّرُوا وَلَا تُكَبِّرُوا حَتَّى يُكَبِّرَ وَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا وَلَا تَرْكَعُوا حَتَّى يَرْكَعَ وَإِذَا قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَقُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ قَالَ مُسْلِمٌ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَإِذَا سَجَدَ فَاسْجُدُوا وَلَا تَسْجُدُوا حَتَّى يَسْجُدَ وَإِذَا صَلَّى قَائِمًا فَصَلُّوا قِيَامًا وَإِذَا صَلَّى قَاعِدًا فَصَلُّوا قُعُودًا أَجْمَعُونَقَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَفْهَمَنِي بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ بِهَذَا الْخَبَرِ زَادَ وَإِذَا قَرَأَ فَأَنْصِتُوا قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد وَهَذِهِ الزِّيَادَةُ وَإِذَا قَرَأَ فَأَنْصِتُوا لَيْسَتْ بِمَحْفُوظَةٍ الْوَهْمُ عِنْدَنَا مِنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ
Narrated to us [Sulaiman bin Harb] and [Muslim bin Ibrahim] by meaning, from [Wuhaib] from [Mus'ab bin Muhammad] from [Abu Salih] from [Abu Hurairah], he said: Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said, 'The imam is appointed to be followed. When he says takbir, say takbir, but not before. When he bows, bow, but not before. When he says, "Sami'allaahu liman hamidah" (Allah hears those who praise Him), say, "Allaahumma Rabbanaa Lakal Hamdu" (O Allah, our Lord, to You be praise). Muslim said, "Walakal Hamdu" (and to You be praise). When he prostrates, prostrate, but not before. If he prays standing, pray standing. If he prays sitting, all of you pray sitting.' Abu Dawud said: 'Allaahumma Rabbanaa Lakal Hamdu' was understood by some of our companions from Sulaiman. Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Adam Al-Missisi], narrated to us [Abu Khalid] from [Ibnu 'Ajlan] from [Zaid bin Aslam] from [Abu Salih] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, saying, 'The imam is to be followed,' with this hadith, adding, 'When he recites, listen attentively.' Abu Dawud said: The addition, 'When he recites, listen attentively,' is not preserved, and the error is likely from Abu Khalid.
