Imam Nasa'i : 521أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَارِجَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ بَشِيرِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَدَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ أَخْبِرْنَا عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذَاكَ زَمَنَ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ زَالَتْ الشَّمْسُ وَكَانَ الْفَيْءُ قَدْرَ الشِّرَاكِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ حِينَ كَانَ الْفَيْءُ قَدْرَ الشِّرَاكِ وَظِلِّ الرَّجُلِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ غَابَتْ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ حِينَ غَابَ الشَّفَقُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ حِينَ طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى مِنْ الْغَدِ الظُّهْرَ حِينَ كَانَ الظِّلُّ طُولَ الرَّجُلِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ حِينَ كَانَ ظِلُّ الرَّجُلِ مِثْلَيْهِ قَدْرَ مَا يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ سَيْرَ الْعَنَقِ إِلَى ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ غَابَتْ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ نِصْفِ اللَّيْلِ شَكَّ زَيْدٌ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ فَأَسْفَرَ
Narrated to us [Ahmad bin Sulaiman] he said :Narrated to us [Zaid bin Al Hubab] he said :Narrated to us [Kharijah bin Abdullah bin Sulaiman bin Zaid bin Thabit] he said : has told me [Al Husain bin Basyir bin Salam] from [his father], he said : "Muhammad bin Ali and I entered the house of [Jabir bin Abdullah Al Ansari] and we said to him, 'Tell us about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) - it was during the reign of Hajjaj bin Yusuf -' He replied, 'The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out and prayed Dhuhr when the sun had set and his shadow was the size of a sandal strap. Then he prayed Asr when his shadow was the size of a sandal strap and a person's shadow. Then he prayed Maghrib when the sun had set, then he prayed Isha when the red twilight had disappeared. Then he prayed Subuh when dawn broke. Then the next day he prayed Dhuhr when his shadow was as tall as a person, then prayed Asr when a person's shadow was twice his own, the size of a rider's journey quickly passing to Dhul Hulaifah. Then he prayed Maghrib when the sun set and prayed Isha until a third of the night or the middle of the night. Then he prayed Subuh when it looked a little yellow.'
