Nabi mengampuni Hathib meskipun berkhianat membocorkan rencana Nabi kepada musyrikin karena menghargai peserta perang Badar

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي رَافِعٍ كَاتِبَ عَلِيٍّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُبَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا وَالزُّبَيْرَ وَالْمِقْدَادَ فَقَالَ انْطَلِقُوا حَتَّى تَأْتُوا رَوْضَةَ خَاخٍ فَإِنَّ بِهَا ظَعِينَةً مَعَهَا كِتَابٌ فَخُذُوهُ مِنْهَا فَذَهَبْنَا تَعَادَى بِنَا خَيْلُنَا حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا الرَّوْضَةَ فَإِذَا نَحْنُ بِالظَّعِينَةِ فَقُلْنَا أَخْرِجِي الْكِتَابَ فَقَالَتْ مَا مَعِي مِنْ كِتَابٍ فَقُلْنَا لَتُخْرِجِنَّ الْكِتَابَ أَوْ لَنُلْقِيَنَّ الثِّيَابَ فَأَخْرَجَتْهُ مِنْ عِقَاصِهَا فَأَتَيْنَا بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا فِيهِ مِنْ حَاطِبِ بْنِ أَبِي بَلْتَعَةَ إِلَى أُنَاسٍ مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ مِمَّنْ بِمَكَّةَ يُخْبِرُهُمْ بِبَعْضِ أَمْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا هَذَا يَا حَاطِبُ قَالَ لَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ وَلَمْ أَكُنْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَكَانَ مَنْ مَعَكَ مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ لَهُمْ قَرَابَاتٌ يَحْمُونَ بِهَا أَهْلِيهِمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ بِمَكَّةَ فَأَحْبَبْتُ إِذْ فَاتَنِي مِنْ النَّسَبِ فِيهِمْ أَنْ أَصْطَنِعَ إِلَيْهِمْ يَدًا يَحْمُونَ قَرَابَتِي وَمَا فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ كُفْرًا وَلَا ارْتِدَادًا عَنْ دِينِي فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ صَدَقَكُمْ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ دَعْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَأَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اطَّلَعَ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ اعْمَلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ فَقَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَكُمْقَالَ عَمْرٌو وَنَزَلَتْ فِيهِ{ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ }قَالَ لَا أَدْرِي الْآيَةَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ أَوْ قَوْلُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ قَالَ قِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ فِي هَذَا فَنَزَلَتْ{ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ }الْآيَةَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ هَذَا فِي حَدِيثِ النَّاسِ حَفِظْتُهُ مِنْ عَمْرٍو مَا تَرَكْتُ مِنْهُ حَرْفًا وَمَا أُرَى أَحَدًا حَفِظَهُ غَيْرِي

Narrated to us [Al Humaidi] Narrated to us [Sufyan] Narrated to us [Amru bin Dinar] he said, Narrated to me [Al Hasan bin Muhammad bin Ali] that he heard [Ubaidullah bin Abu Rafi'], the scribe of Ali, say, I heard [Ali, may Allah be pleased with him] say The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent me, Zubair, and Miqdad, saying, "Go to Raudhah Khakh, for there is a woman there with a letter take it from her." We went, our horses galloping, until we reached the Raudhah and found the woman. We said, "Hand over the letter." She said, "I have no letter." We said, "You will produce the letter, or we will strip your clothes." She took it out from her braided hair. We brought it to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and it was from Hatib bin Abi Balta'ah to some polytheists in Mecca, informing them of some of the Prophet’s affairs, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "What is this, O Hatib?" He said, "Do not hasten against me, O Messenger of Allah. I am a man from Quraysh, but not one of them. Those with you from the Muhajirin have relatives protecting their families and wealth in Mecca. Since I lack lineage among them, I wanted to do them a favor to protect my relatives. I did not do this out of disbelief or apostasy from my religion." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "He has told you the truth." Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah, let me strike his neck." He said, "He witnessed Badr, and what do you know? Perhaps Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, looked upon the people of Badr and said, 'Do as you wish, for I have forgiven you.'" Amru said Regarding this, the verse was revealed: "O you who believe, do not take My enemy and your enemy as allies." (Al-Mumtahanah: 1). Ali narrated to us He said It was said to Sufyan that in this matter, the verse was revealed: "Do not take My enemy and your enemy as allies." (Al-Mumtahanah: 1). Sufyan said, "This is in the hadith of the people I memorized it from Amru, leaving out not a single letter, and I do not think anyone else memorized it.
