حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ وَهَنَّادٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ لَقِيطِ بْنِ صَبِرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَخَلِّلْ الْأَصَابِعَقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَالْمُسَتَوْرِدِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ شَدَّادٍ الْفِهْرِيُّ وَأبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنَّهُ يُخَلِّلُ أَصَابِعَ رِجْلَيْهِ فِي الْوُضُوءِ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ أَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَقُ قَالَ إِسْحَقُ يُخَلِّلُ أَصَابِعَ يَدَيْهِ وَرِجْلَيْهِ فِي الْوُضُوءِ وَأَبُو هَاشِمٍ اسْمُهُ إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْمَكِّيُّ
Narrated to us [Qutaibah] and [Hannad]: they said: narrated to us [Waki‘] from [Sufyan] from [Abu Hashim] from [‘Asim bin Laqit bin Sabirah] from his father: The Prophet, may Allah’s peace be upon him, said: "When you perform wudu, interlace your fingers." In this chapter there are also narrations from Ibn ‘Abbas, Al-Mustawrid (Ibn Shaddad Al-Fihri) and Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari. Abu Isa said: "This hadith is hasan sahih. Scholars act upon it: interlacing the toes in wudu. This view is held by Ahmad and Ishaq." Ishaq said: "In wudu he interlaced the fingers of hands and feet." Abu Hashim’s real name is Isma‘il bin Kathir Al-Makki.
