Penjelasan waktu-waktu shalat: zhuhur, ashar, maghrib, isya, dan subuh
Imam Ahmad : 18972حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَيَّارِ بْنِ سَلَامَةَ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَبِي عَلَى أَبِي بَرْزَةَ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ وَقْتِ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ حِينَ تَزُولُ الشَّمْسُ وَالْعَصْرَ يَرْجِعُ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَالشَّمْسُ حَيَّةٌ وَالْمَغْرِبَ قَالَ سَيَّارٌ نَسِيتُهَا وَالْعِشَاءَ لَا يُبَالِي بَعْدَ تَأْخِيرِهَا إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ وَكَانَ لَا يُحِبُّ النَّوْمَ قَبْلَهَا وَالْحَدِيثَ بَعْدَهَا وَكَانَ يُصَلِّي الصُّبْحَ فَيَنْصَرِفُ الرَّجُلُ فَيَعْرِفُ وَجْهَ جَلِيسِهِ وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِيهَا مَا بَيْنَ السِّتِّينَ إِلَى الْمِائَةِ قَالَ سَيَّارٌ لَا أَدْرِي فِي إِحْدَى الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ أَوْ فِي كِلْتَيْهِمَا
Narrated to us [Hajjaj] has informed us [Syu'bah] from [Sayyar bin Salamah] saying; I met [Abu Barzah] with my father we asked about the prayer time of the Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him, then he said: he the Messenger performed the zhuhur prayer when the sun declined, the ashar prayer when someone returned to Medina while the sun was still visible, and the maghrib time (Sayyar said: "I forgot about it."), the isya time he did not mind, he delayed it until a third of the night, he did not like sleeping before isyal and talking after it, and he prayed subuh until if someone finished from his prayer, he knew the trace of his sitting place and he read in that prayer between sixty to a hundred verses." Sayyar said: "I do not know that reading was for one of the two raka'at that exist or for both of them.
