حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِسْمَعِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَأَلْفَاظُهُمْ مُتَقَارِبَةٌ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْيَعْمَرِيِّ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبِعُقْرِ حَوْضِي أَذُودُ النَّاسَ لِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ أَضْرِبُ بِعَصَايَ حَتَّى يَرْفَضَّ عَلَيْهِمْ فَسُئِلَ عَنْ عَرْضِهِ فَقَالَ مِنْ مَقَامِي إِلَى عَمَّانَ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ شَرَابِهِ فَقَالَ أَشَدُّ بَيَاضًا مِنْ اللَّبَنِ وَأَحْلَى مِنْ الْعَسَلِ يَغُتُّ فِيهِ مِيزَابَانِ يَمُدَّانِهِ مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ أَحَدُهُمَا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَالْآخَرُ مِنْ وَرِقٍ و حَدَّثَنِيهِ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ بِإِسْنَادِ هِشَامٍ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عِنْدَ عُقْرِ الْحَوْضِ و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثَ الْحَوْضِ فَقُلْتُ لِيَحْيَى بْنِ حَمَّادٍ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَبِي عَوَانَةَ فَقَالَ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَيْضًا مِنْ شُعْبَةَ فَقُلْتُ انْظُرْ لِي فِيهِ فَنَظَرَ لِي فِيهِ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ

Informed us [Abu Ghassan Al Misma'i] and [Muhammad bin Al Mutsanna] and [Ibnu Basyar], their wordings are not much different. They said: Narrated to us [Mu'adz], that is Ibnu Hisyam Narrated to me [my father] from [Qatadah] from [Salim bin Abu Ja'ad] from [Ma'dan bin Abu Thalhah Al Ya'mari] from [Tsauban] that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: 'Indeed, I will be at my basin to give drink to good people. Then I will strike with my staff, so the basin’s water will gush out to them.' Someone asked him about the width of the basin, and he replied: 'Its width is from my seat to Amman.' Then someone asked about its water, and he replied: 'Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. In it are two channels pouring water from paradise. One channel is made of gold, and the other of silver.' Narrated to me [Zuhair bin Harb] Narrated to us [Al Hasan bin Musa] Narrated to us [Syaiban] from [Qatadah] through Hisyam’s chain, similar to that Hadith. But he said: 'On the Day of Resurrection, I will be at the basin.' And narrated to us [Muhammad bin Basysyar] Narrated to us [Yahya bin Hammad] Narrated to us [Syu'bah] from [Qatadah] from [Salim bin Abu Al Ja'ad] from [Ma'dan] from [Tsauban] from the Prophet, peace be upon him, - regarding the Hadith of the basin, - I asked [Yahya bin Hammad]: 'Did you hear this Hadith from [Abu 'Awanah]?' He replied: 'I even heard it from [Syu'bah].' I said: 'Show me that Hadith,' then he showed it to me and narrated it to me.
