Imam Muslim : 4246و حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ بَيْنَ ظَهْرَانَيْ أَصْحَابِهِ إِنِّي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ أَنْتَظِرُ مَنْ يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ مِنْكُمْ فَوَاللَّهِ لَيُقْتَطَعَنَّ دُونِي رِجَالٌ فَلَأَقُولَنَّ أَيْ رَبِّ مِنِّي وَمِنْ أُمَّتِي فَيَقُولُ إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا عَمِلُوا بَعْدَكَ مَا زَالُوا يَرْجِعُونَ عَلَى أَعْقَابِهِمْ
And narrated to me [Ibnu Abu Umar] Narrated to us [Yahya bin Sulaim] from [Ibnu Khutsaim] from [Abdullah bin Ubaidullah bin Abu Mulaikah] that he heard [Aisyah] say: I heard the Messenger of Allah say, when he was in front of his companions: 'I will be at the basin, waiting for whoever comes to me from among you. By Allah, some people will be kept away from me. So I will say: "O Allah, they are still part of my ummah." But it is answered: "Indeed, you do not know what they did after you? They kept opposing your teachings."'
