حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَتْهُمْأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَبَّرَ لِفَاطِمَةَ شِبْرًا مِنْ نِطَاقِهَاقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَرَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَفِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ رُخْصَةٌ لِلنِّسَاءِ فِي جَرِّ الْإِزَارِ لِأَنَّهُ يَكُونُ أَسْتَرَ لَهُنَّ
Narrated to us [Ishaq bin Manshur] said, informed us [Affan] said, narrated to us [Hammad bin Salamah] from [Ali bin Zaid] from [Ummul Hasan] that [Ummu Salamah] narrated to them: 'The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, permitted Fatimah to lengthen her waistband by a span.' Abu Isa said: 'Some hadith scholars narrated from [Hammad bin Salamah], from [Ali bin Zaid], from [Al Hasan], from [his mother], from [Ummu Salamah]. This hadith provides a concession for women to lengthen their waistband (to touch the ground), as it better covers their aurat.'
