Imam Muslim : 2031و حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ فَإِنَّ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُهِلُّ مُلَبِّدًا يَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَا يَزِيدُ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ وَإِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا كَانَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْكَعُ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ إِذَا اسْتَوَتْ بِهِ النَّاقَةُ قَائِمَةً عِنْدَ مَسْجِدِ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ أَهَلَّ بِهَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا يَقُولُ كَانَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُهِلُّ بِإِهْلَالِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ وَيَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَالرَّغْبَاءُ إِلَيْكَ وَالْعَمَلُ
And Narrated to me by [Harmalah bin Yahya], it was informed to us by [Ibn Wahb], it was informed to me by [Yunus] from [Ibn Shihab] he said, that [Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar] informed me from [his father] (may Allah be pleased with him), he said I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recite the Talbiyah with a head covering: 'LABBAIKA ALLAHUMMA LABBAIKA LAA SYARIIKA LAKA LABBAIKA INNAL HAMDA WAN NI'MATA LAKA WAL MULKA LAA SYARIIKA LAKA (I respond to Your call O Allah, I respond to Your call. I respond to Your call, I respond to Your call, there is no partner with You. I respond to Your call, indeed all praise and blessings are Yours, as well as sovereignty, there is no partner with You).' He did not add anything to that reading. And Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said 'The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed two rak'ahs at Dhul-Hulaifah and when he was ready on his vehicle standing beside the Mosque of Dhul-Hulaifah, he recited the Talbiyah like the words above.' Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said Umar bin Al Khaththab (may Allah be pleased with him) recited the Talbiyah with the Talbiyah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and he added: 'LABBAIKA LABBAIKA WA SA'DAIKA WAL KHAIRU BIYADIKA LABBAIKA WARRAGHBAA`U ILAIKA WAL'AMAL (I respond to Your call, O Allah to seek Your pleasure. Goodness is in Your power. I respond to Your call, O Allah, as an act of worship to seek Your pleasure).'
