Nabi mengampuni Hathib meskipun berkhianat membocorkan rencana Nabi kepada musyrikin karena menghargai peserta perang Badar

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ هُوَ ابْنُ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَال سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ يَقُولُبَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا وَالزُّبَيْرَ وَالْمِقْدَادَ بْنَ الْأَسْوَدِ فَقَالَ انْطَلِقُوا حَتَّى تَأْتُوا رَوْضَةَ خَاخٍ فَإِنَّ فِيهَا ظَعِينَةً مَعَهَا كِتَابٌ فَخُذُوهُ مِنْهَا فَأْتُونِي بِهِ فَخَرَجْنَا تَتَعَادَى بِنَا خَيْلُنَا حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا الرَّوْضَةَ فَإِذَا نَحْنُ بِالظَّعِينَةِ فَقُلْنَا أَخْرِجِي الْكِتَابَ فَقَالَتْ مَا مَعِي مِنْ كِتَابٍ فَقُلْنَا لَتُخْرِجِنَّ الْكِتَابَ أَوْ لَتُلْقِيَنَّ الثِّيَابَ قَالَ فَأَخْرَجَتْهُ مِنْ عِقَاصِهَا قَالَ فَأَتَيْنَا بِهِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا هُوَ مِنْ حَاطِبِ بْنِ أَبِي بَلْتَعَةَ إِلَى نَاسٍ مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ بِمَكَّةَ يُخْبِرُهُمْ بِبَعْضِ أَمْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا يَا حَاطِبُ قَالَ لَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ امْرَأً مُلْصَقًا فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَلَمْ أَكُنْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهَا وَكَانَ مَنْ مَعَكَ مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ لَهُمْ قَرَابَاتٌ يَحْمُونَ بِهَا أَهْلِيهِمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ بِمَكَّةَ فَأَحْبَبْتُ إِذْ فَاتَنِي ذَلِكَ مِنْ نَسَبٍ فِيهِمْ أَنْ أَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ يَدًا يَحْمُونَ بِهَا قَرَابَتِي وَمَا فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ كُفْرًا وَلَا ارْتِدَادًا عَنْ دِينِي وَلَا رِضًا بِالْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ الْإِسْلَامِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَدَقَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ دَعْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَضْرِبْ عُنُقَ هَذَا الْمُنَافِقِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا فَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ اطَّلَعَ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ اعْمَلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ فَقَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَكُمْ قَالَ وَفِيهِ أُنْزِلَتْ هَذِهِ السُّورَةُ{ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ }السُّورَةَقَالَ عَمْرٌو وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي رَافِعٍ وَكَانَ كَاتِبًا لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَفِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ وَجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَرَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ نَحْوَ هَذَا وَذَكَرُوا هَذَا الْحَرْفَ وَقَالُوا لَتُخْرِجِنَّ الْكِتَابَ أَوْ لَتُلْقِيَنَّ الثِّيَابَ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ أَيْضًا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ نَحْوَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ذَكَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ فِيهِ فَقَالَ لَتُخْرِجِنَّ الْكِتَابَ أَوْ لَنُجَرِّدَنَّكِ

Narrated to us [Ibnu Abu Umar], narrated to us [Sufyan] from ['Amr bin Dinar] from [Al Hasan bin Muhammad namely Al Hanafiyyah] from ['Ubaidullah bin Abu Rafi'], he said: I heard [Ali bin Abu Thalib] say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent us namely me, Az Zubair, and Al Miqdad bin Al Aswad. He said: Go until you reach the place named Raudhah Khakh, because indeed there is a woman carrying a letter then take it from her and bring it to me." Then we departed and our horses ran fast until we reached Raudhah Khah, and indeed we found a woman, then we said: bring out that letter! Then the woman said: I am not carrying a letter. Then we said: indeed you will bring out that letter or you remove your clothes! Ali said: then the woman brought out the letter from her braided hair (bun, coil). Ali said: then we seized that woman to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and indeed the letter was from Hathib bin Abu Balta'ah to the polytheists in Makkah, he informed them some of the affairs of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Then he said: "What is this O Hathib?" Hathib said: do not hasten to judge me O Messenger of Allah! Indeed formerly I was a man living among the Quraisy people and not from their descendants, while the people with you from the Muhajirin have relatives by which they protect their families and wealth in Makkah. And I want, since I have no lineage among them, to give a favor by which they can maintain my kinship relation, and I did that not because I disbelieve nor leave my religion nor because I am pleased with disbelief after the coming of Islam. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: he is truthful. Then Umar bin Al Khathab radliallahu 'anhu said: let me cut off the neck of this hypocrite O Messenger of Allah! Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed he has participated in the battle of Badr, do you know perhaps Allah has looked at the people of Badr and said: 'Do as you wish, indeed I have forgiven your sins'." Ali said: then this surah descended regarding Hathib bin Abu Balta'ah: "O you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies." (QS. Al-Mumtahanah 1), 'Amr said: to my knowledge, Ibnu Abu Rafi' was the secretary of Ali bin Abu Thalib. This hadith is hasan sahih, and in it from Umar and Jabir bin Abdullah, and not only one person narrated this hadith from Sufyan bin 'Uyainah like this. And they mention with this wording: indeed you will bring out that letter or you remove your clothes! And it has been narrated from [Abu Abdur Rahman As Sulami] from [Ali] like this hadith, some of them mention in it: indeed you bring out that letter or we will strip your clothes."
