حَدَّثَنَا بَيَانُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ رُومَانَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَاأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهَا يَا عَائِشَةُ لَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثُ عَهْدٍ بِجَاهِلِيَّةٍ لَأَمَرْتُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَهُدِمَ فَأَدْخَلْتُ فِيهِ مَا أُخْرِجَ مِنْهُ وَأَلْزَقْتُهُ بِالْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ بَابَيْنِ بَابًا شَرْقِيًّا وَبَابًا غَرْبِيًّا فَبَلَغْتُ بِهِ أَسَاسَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي حَمَلَ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَلَى هَدْمِهِ قَالَ يَزِيدُ وَشَهِدْتُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ حِينَ هَدَمَهُ وَبَنَاهُ وَأَدْخَلَ فِيهِ مِنْ الْحِجْرِ وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَسَاسَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حِجَارَةً كَأَسْنِمَةِ الْإِبِلِ قَالَ جَرِيرٌ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَيْنَ مَوْضِعُهُ قَالَ أُرِيكَهُ الْآنَ فَدَخَلْتُ مَعَهُ الْحِجْرَ فَأَشَارَ إِلَى مَكَانٍ فَقَالَ هَا هُنَا قَالَ جَرِيرٌ فَحَزَرْتُ مِنْ الْحِجْرِ سِتَّةَ أَذْرُعٍ أَوْ نَحْوَهَا
Narrated to us Bayan bin 'Amru, narrated to us Yazid, narrated to us Jarir bin Hazim, narrated to us Yazid bin Ruman from 'Urwah from 'Aisyah, may Allah be pleased with her, said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, Sa'dto her: O 'Aisyah, were it not for your people's recent state of ignorance, I would have ordered the Ka'bah to be demolished, included what was excluded from it, leveled its door with the ground, and made an eastern and western door, thus reaching the foundation of Ibrahim. This is what prompted 'Abdullah bin Az Zubair, may Allah be pleased with them, to demolish it. Yazid said: I saw Ibn Az Zubair when he demolished and rebuilt it, including part of the Hijr. I saw the foundation of Ibrahim, stones resembling camel humps. Jarir said: I asked him: Where is its location? He said: I will show you now. I entered the Hijr with him, and he pointed to a place, saying: Here it is. Jarir said: I estimated about six cubits from the Hijr or so.
