حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ الْعِيدَ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَصَلَّى قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْطُبَ بِلَا أَذَانٍ وَلَا إِقَامَةٍ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ صِيَامِ هَذَيْنِ الْيَوْمَيْنِ أَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَيَوْمُ فِطْرِكُمْ مِنْ صِيَامِكُمْ وَعِيدُكُمْ وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَيَوْمٌ تَأْكُلُونَ فِيهِ مِنْ نُسُكِكُمْ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ الْعِيدَ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

Narrated to us [Abdurrazzaq] Narrated to us [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from [Abu 'Ubaid, Abdurrahman Bin Auf's slave] that he witnessed the Aid prayer with [Umar Bin Al Khaththab], then Umar performed the prayer before giving the sermon without the call to prayer and iqamat, then he gave the sermon and said; "O people, indeed the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam has forbidden fasting on these two days, one of which is because it is the day you break your fast and your feast day, while the other is because it is the day you eat your slaughtered (meat)." Narrated to us [Ya'qub] Narrated to us [my father] from [Muhammad Bin Ishaq] Narrated to us [Az Zuhri] from [Sa'd Bin Abu 'Ubaid, Abdurrahman Bin Azhar's slave] he said; "I witnessed the Eid al-Adha with Umar Bin Al Khaththab," then he mentioned the hadith above.
