Beliau meminta Abu Bakar ash-Shiddiq untuk menjadi imam shalat menggantikannya
Imam Bukhari : 641حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَلَمَّا اشْتَدَّ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَعُهُ قِيلَ لَهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَجُلٌ رَقِيقٌ إِذَا قَرَأَ غَلَبَهُ الْبُكَاءُ قَالَ مُرُوهُ فَيُصَلِّي فَعَاوَدَتْهُ قَالَ مُرُوهُ فَيُصَلِّي إِنَّكُنَّ صَوَاحِبُ يُوسُفَتَابَعَهُ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ وَابْنُ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْكَلْبِيُّ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَقَالَ عُقَيْلٌ وَمَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Narrated to us Yahya bin Sulaiman, he Sa'd narrated to us Ibn Wahb, he Sa'd narrated to me Yunus from Ibn Shihab from Hamzah bin 'Abdullah, he informed him from his father, he Sa'd 'When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, became severely ill, he was asked about the prayer. He Sa'd Order Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. 'Aishah Sa'd Abu Bakr is a soft-hearted man; when he recites, he is overcome with weeping. He Sa'd Order him to pray. She repeated, and he Sa'd Order him to pray, you are like the women of Yusuf. This was supported by Az Zubaidi, Ibn Akhi Az Zuhri, and Ishaq bin Yahya Al Kalbi from Az Zuhri, and 'Uqail and Ma'mar Sa'dfrom Az Zuhri from Hamzah from the Prophet, peace be upon him.'
