حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ لُؤْلُؤَةَ عَنْ أَبِي صِرْمَةَ قَالَ غَيْرَ قُتَيْبَةَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ أَبِي صِرْمَةَ صَاحِبِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ ضَارَّ أَضَرَّ اللَّهُ بِهِ وَمَنْ شَاقَّ شَاقَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ
Narrated to us [Sulaiman bin Daud Al 'Ataki], narrated to us [Hammad], narrated to us [Washil], a former slave of Abu 'Uyainah, he said: I heard [Abu Ja'far Muhammad bin Ali] narrate from [Samurah bin Jundub] that he had a small date palm tree in the garden of an Ansar man. Samurah said, 'The man had a family.' Muhammad said, 'Samurah entered his date palm garden, causing the Ansar man to feel disturbed and uneasy. The Ansar man asked Samurah to sell the date palm, but Samurah refused. Then he asked him to relocate it, but Samurah refused. So, he went to the Prophet shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam and informed him of the matter. The Prophet shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam asked Samurah to sell the date palm, but he refused. Then he asked him to relocate it, but Samurah still refused. The Prophet said, 'Give it to him, and you will have such and such,' - something pleasing - but he refused. The Prophet then said, 'You are a person who causes harm.' The Messenger of Allah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam then told the Ansar man, 'Go and uproot his date palm!'
