حَدَّثَنَا مُصَرِّفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْيَامِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ عَنْ إِسْمَعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقُرَشِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَصَالَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَهْلَ نَجْرَانَ عَلَى أَلْفَيْ حُلَّةٍ النِّصْفُ فِي صَفَرٍ وَالْبَقِيَّةُ فِي رَجَبٍ يُؤَدُّونَهَا إِلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَعَوَرِ ثَلَاثِينَ دِرْعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ فَرَسًا وَثَلَاثِينَ بَعِيرًا وَثَلَاثِينَ مِنْ كُلِّ صِنْفٍ مِنْ أَصْنَافِ السِّلَاحِ يَغْزُونَ بِهَا وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ ضَامِنُونَ لَهَا حَتَّى يَرُدُّوهَا عَلَيْهِمْ إِنْ كَانَ بِالْيَمَنِ كَيْدٌ أَوْ غَدْرَةٌ عَلَى أَنْ لَا تُهْدَمَ لَهُمْ بَيْعَةٌ وَلَا يُخْرَجَ لَهُمْ قَسٌّ وَلَا يُفْتَنُوا عَنْ دِينِهِمْ مَا لَمْ يُحْدِثُوا حَدَثًا أَوْ يَأْكُلُوا الرِّبَاقَالَ إِسْمَعِيلُ فَقَدْ أَكَلُوا الرِّبَا قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد إِذَا نَقَضُوا بَعْضَ مَا اشْتُرِطَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَدْ أَحْدَثُوا
Narrated to us [Musharrif bin Amr Al-Yami], narrated to us [Yunus bin Bukair], narrated to us [Asbath bin Nashr Al-Hamdani], from [Isma’il bin Abdurrahman Al-Qurashi], from [Ibn Abbas], he said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, made peace with Najran’s people for two thousand garments—half in Safar, half in Rajab—delivered to Muslims, plus thirty armors, thirty camels, and thirty of each weapon type for war. Muslims guarantee their safety against Yemen’s deceit or treachery, ensuring their churches are not destroyed, their priests not expelled, and their faith not challenged unless they innovate or consume usury. Isma’il said, 'They consumed usury.' Abu Dawud said, 'If they break any condition, they have innovated.'
