حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا رَوْحٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَاقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ جُنْحُ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ أَمْسَيْتُمْ فَكُفُّوا صِبْيَانَكُمْ فَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ تَنْتَشِرُ حِينَئِذٍ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَتْ سَاعَةٌ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ فَخَلُّوهُمْ وَأَغْلِقُوا الْأَبْوَابَ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَفْتَحُ بَابًا مُغْلَقًاقَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ نَحْوَ مَا أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ

Narrated to us [Ishaq], reported to us [Rauh], reported to us [Ibnu Juraij], he said, reported to me ['Atha'] who heard [Jabir bin 'Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with them], the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When the darkness of night falls, or you reach evening, keep your children indoors, for the devils spread out at that time. When some time has passed in the night, let them go. Close the doors and mention Allah’s name, for Satan does not open a closed door." He (Ibnu Juraij) said, "And ['Amru bin Dinar] reported to me that he heard [Jabir bin 'Abdullah] similarly to what 'Atha' reported to me, but did not mention 'and mention Allah’s name.'
