حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ وَمُحَمَّدٍ وَخِلَاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام كَانَ رَجُلًا حَيِيًّا سَتِيرًا مَا يُرَى مِنْ جِلْدِهِ شَيْءٌ اسْتِحْيَاءً مِنْهُ فَآذَاهُ مَنْ آذَاهُ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فَقَالُوا مَا يَسْتَتِرُ هَذَا التَّسَتُّرَ إِلَّا مِنْ عَيْبٍ بِجِلْدِهِ إِمَّا بَرَصٌ وَإِمَّا أُدْرَةٌ وَإِمَّا آفَةٌ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُبَرِّئَهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا وَإِنَّ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام خَلَا يَوْمًا وَحْدَهُ فَوَضَعَ ثِيَابَهُ عَلَى حَجَرٍ ثُمَّ اغْتَسَلَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ أَقْبَلَ إِلَى ثِيَابِهِ لِيَأْخُذَهَا وَإِنَّ الْحَجَرَ عَدَا بِثَوْبِهِ فَأَخَذَ مُوسَى عَصَاهُ فَطَلَبَ الْحَجَرَ فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ ثَوْبِي حَجَرُ ثَوْبِي حَجَرُ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى مَلَإٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فَرَأَوْهُ عُرْيَانًا أَحْسَنَ النَّاسِ خَلْقًا وَأَبْرَأَهُ مِمَّا كَانُوا يَقُولُونَ قَالَ وَقَامَ الْحَجَرُ فَأَخَذَ ثَوْبَهُ وَلَبِسَهُ وَطَفِقَ بِالْحَجَرِ ضَرْبًا بِعَصَاهُ فَوَاللَّهِ إِنَّ بِالْحَجَرِ لَنَدَبًا مِنْ أَثَرِ عَصَاهُ ثَلَاثًا أَوْ أَرْبَعًا أَوْ خَمْسًا فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ آذَوْا مُوسَى فَبَرَّأَهُ اللَّهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا وَكَانَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَجِيهًا } قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفِيهِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Narrated to us [Abdu bin Humaid] has told us [Rauh bin Ubadah] from [Auf] from [Al Hasan], [Muhammad] and [Khilas] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophetpeace be upon him that Musa 'alaihis salam was a very shy and closed person, none of his skin was visible because of shyness. Then the Children of Israel hurt him, they said: He does not wear such a covering except because of a defect in his skin, perhaps a mottled skin, a blemish or some other disease. Allah 'azza wajalla wanted to free Musa from their words. One day, Musa 'alaihis salam was alone, he put his clothes on a rock and took a bath, after bathing, Musa went to his clothes to get them, it turned out that the rock took his clothes away so Musa took his stick then looked for the stone and said: My clothes, O stone, my clothes, O stone. Until he came to a group of people from the Children of Israel, they saw him naked and he was the best human being in physical form. Allah freed him from their words." Rasulullahpeace be upon him said: "The rock stopped then Musa took his clothes and put them on then he hit the rock with his stick. By Allah, there were three, four or five marks on the stone from being hit by his stick. That is the word of Allah Ta'ala: 'O you who believe, do not be like those who offended Musa; then Allah cleared him of the accusations they said. and he is a person who has an honorable position in the sight of Allah." (Al Ahzaab: 59) Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih . This hadith was also narrated through another sanad from Abu Hurairah from the prophetpeace be upon him. In this case there is a similar hadith from Anas from the prophetpeace be upon him.
