حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ مَطَرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ شَكَّ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ فِي الْحَوْضِ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو سَبْرَةَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ صَحَابَةِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ فَإِنَّ أَبَاكَ حِينَ انْطَلَقَ وَافِدًا إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ انْطَلَقْتُ مَعَهُ فَلَقِيتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو فَحَدَّثَنِي مِنْ فِيهِ إِلَى فِيَّ حَدِيثًا سَمِعَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمْلَاهُ عَلَيَّ وَكَتَبْتُهُ قَالَ فَإِنِّي أَقْسَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ لَمَا أَعْرَقْتَ هَذَا الْبِرْذَوْنَ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَنِي بِالْكِتَابِ قَالَ فَرَكِبْتُ الْبِرْذَوْنَ فَرَكَضْتُهُ حَتَّى عَرِقَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِالْكِتَابِ فَإِذَا فِيهِ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبْغِضُ الْفُحْشَ وَالتَّفَحُّشَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُخَوَّنَ الْأَمِينُ وَيُؤْتَمَنَ الْخَائِنُ حَتَّى يَظْهَرَ الْفُحْشُ وَالتَّفَحُّشُ وَقَطِيعَةُ الْأَرْحَامِ وَسُوءُ الْجِوَارِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ مَثَلَ الْمُؤْمِنِ لَكَمَثَلِ الْقِطْعَةِ مِنْ الذَّهَبِ نَفَخَ عَلَيْهَا صَاحِبُهَا فَلَمْ تَغَيَّرْ وَلَمْ تَنْقُصْ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ مَثَلَ الْمُؤْمِنِ لَكَمَثَلِ النَّحْلَةِ أَكَلَتْ طَيِّبًا وَوَضَعَتْ طَيِّبًا وَوَقَعَتْ فَلَمْ تُكْسَرْ وَلَمْ تَفْسُدْ قَالَ وَقَالَ أَلَا إِنَّ لِي حَوْضًا مَا بَيْنَ نَاحِيَتَيْهِ كَمَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ أَوْ قَالَ صَنْعَاءَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَإِنَّ فِيهِ مِنْ الْأَبَارِيقِ مِثْلَ الْكَوَاكِبِ هُوَ أَشَدُّ بَيَاضًا مِنْ اللَّبَنِ وَأَحْلَى مِنْ الْعَسَلِ مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ لَمْ يَظْمَأْ بَعْدَهَا أَبَدًا قَالَ أَبُو سَبْرَةَ فَأَخَذَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْكِتَابَ فَجَزِعْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَقِيَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْمَرَ فَشَكَوْتُ ذَلِكَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ لَأَنَا أَحْفَظُ لَهُ مِنِّي لِسُورَةٍ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ كَمَا كَانَ فِي الْكِتَابِ سَوَاءً

Narrated to us [Abdurrazzaq] Narrated to us [Ma'mar] from [Mathor] from [Abdullah bin Buraidah] said: -Ubaidullah bin Ziyad was still doubtful about the lake issue.- So [Abu Sabrah] said to him (a man who was a friend of Ubaidullah bin Ziyad): actually when your father went to Mu'awiyah as a messenger, I also went with him, then I met Abdullah bin 'Amru, so he told me by word of mouth a hadith that he heard from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa Salam. He read it to me and I wrote it. He says: "In fact, I want to share with you when you have made this Birdzaun (a horse-like riding animal) sweat so that you can come to me with a book." He says: so I spurred the birdzaun to sweat and I came to him with the book. So [Abdullah bin 'Amru bin Al 'Ash] told me that he heard Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa Salam say: "Indeed, Allah hates abominable deeds and people who do abominations. For the sake of whom Muhammad's soul is in His hand, the Day of Resurrection will not come until those who are trusted are betrayed and those who betray are given trust. So that abominations and vile deeds arise, kinship relationships are broken and bad relations between neighbors arise. For the sake of "The Essence whose soul Muhammad is in His hand, in fact the parable of a believer is like a piece of gold which is blown by its owner who is no less and does not change. By the One whose soul Muhammad is in His hand, indeed the parable of a believer is like a bee, he eats the good things, brings out the good things, if he lands he does not make the branches break or become damaged." He says: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "I have a lake, the distance between its two ends is like the distance between Alah and Makkah," or he said: "between San'a` and Madinah, in which there are kettles like the stars, whiter than milk and sweeter than honey, whoever drinks from it will never feel thirsty ever." Abu Sabrah said: So Ubaidullah took the book and I felt afraid and worried about it, so [Yahya bin Ya'mar] met me, and I conveyed the matter to him. So he said: "By Allah, I have memorized it as I memorize a chapter of the Quran," so he told me what was in the book.
