Narrated to us [Qutaibah], narrated to us [Hammad bin Zaid] from [Amr bin Dinar] from [Thawus] from [Ibnu Abbas] that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever sells food, let him not sell it until he receives it (the item is with him, becomes his)." Ibnu Abbas said: I consider everything similar to it. He said: In this matter, there is a similar hadith from Jabir, Ibnu Umar, and Abu Hurairah. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Ibnu Abbas is hasan sahih and is acted upon according to most scholars they disliked selling food until the buyer receives it, but some scholars permitted someone selling something not measured or weighed from something not eaten or drunk to sell it before receiving it. Indeed, the emphasis according to the scholars is on food, this is the opinion of Ahmad and Ishaq."
