أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدٌ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَالِكٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أُتِيتُ بِدَابَّةٍ فَوْقَ الْحِمَارِ وَدُونَ الْبَغْلِ خَطْوُهَا عِنْدَ مُنْتَهَى طَرْفِهَا فَرَكِبْتُ وَمَعِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَسِرْتُ فَقَالَ انْزِلْ فَصَلِّ فَفَعَلْتُ فَقَالَ أَتَدْرِي أَيْنَ صَلَّيْتَ صَلَّيْتَ بِطَيْبَةَ وَإِلَيْهَا الْمُهَاجَرُ ثُمَّ قَالَ انْزِلْ فَصَلِّ فَصَلَّيْتُ فَقَالَ أَتَدْرِي أَيْنَ صَلَّيْتَ صَلَّيْتَ بِطُورِ سَيْنَاءَ حَيْثُ كَلَّمَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ثُمَّ قَالَ انْزِلْ فَصَلِّ فَنَزَلْتُ فَصَلَّيْتُ فَقَالَ أَتَدْرِي أَيْنَ صَلَّيْتَ صَلَّيْتَ بِبَيْتِ لَحْمٍ حَيْثُ وُلِدَ عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ثُمَّ دَخَلْتُ بَيْتَ الْمَقْدِسِ فَجُمِعَ لِي الْأَنْبِيَاءُ عَلَيْهِمْ السَّلَام فَقَدَّمَنِي جِبْرِيلُ حَتَّى أَمَمْتُهُمْ ثُمَّ صُعِدَ بِي إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا فَإِذَا فِيهَا آدَمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ثُمَّ صُعِدَ بِي إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الثَّانِيَةِ فَإِذَا فِيهَا ابْنَا الْخَالَةِ عِيسَى وَيَحْيَى عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَام ثُمَّ صُعِدَ بِي إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الثَّالِثَةِ فَإِذَا فِيهَا يُوسُفُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ثُمَّ صُعِدَ بِي إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الرَّابِعَةِ فَإِذَا فِيهَا هَارُونُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ثُمَّ صُعِدَ بِي إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الْخَامِسَةِ فَإِذَا فِيهَا إِدْرِيسُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ثُمَّ صُعِدَ بِي إِلَى السَّمَاءِ السَّادِسَةِ فَإِذَا فِيهَا مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ثُمَّ صُعِدَ بِي إِلَى السَّمَاءِ السَّابِعَةِ فَإِذَا فِيهَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ثُمَّ صُعِدَ بِي فَوْقَ سَبْعِ سَمَوَاتٍ فَأَتَيْنَا سِدْرَةَ الْمُنْتَهَى فَغَشِيَتْنِي ضَبَابَةٌ فَخَرَرْتُ سَاجِدًا فَقِيلَ لِي إِنِّي يَوْمَ خَلَقْتُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَضْتُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمَّتِكَ خَمْسِينَ صَلَاةً فَقُمْ بِهَا أَنْتَ وَأُمَّتُكَ فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَلَمْ يَسْأَلْنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ عَلَى مُوسَى فَقَالَ كَمْ فَرَضَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمَّتِكَ قُلْتُ خَمْسِينَ صَلَاةً قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ لَا تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تَقُومَ بِهَا أَنْتَ وَلَا أُمَّتُكَ فَارْجِعْ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَاسْأَلْهُ التَّخْفِيفَ فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى رَبِّي فَخَفَّفَ عَنِّي عَشْرًا ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ مُوسَى فَأَمَرَنِي بِالرُّجُوعِ فَرَجَعْتُ فَخَفَّفَ عَنِّي عَشْرًا ثُمَّ رُدَّتْ إِلَى خَمْسِ صَلَوَاتٍ قَالَ فَارْجِعْ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَاسْأَلْهُ التَّخْفِيفَ فَإِنَّهُ فَرَضَ عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ صَلَاتَيْنِ فَمَا قَامُوا بِهِمَا فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَسَأَلْتُهُ التَّخْفِيفَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي يَوْمَ خَلَقْتُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَضْتُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمَّتِكَ خَمْسِينَ صَلَاةً فَخَمْسٌ بِخَمْسِينَ فَقُمْ بِهَا أَنْتَ وَأُمَّتُكَ فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّهَا مِنْ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى صِرَّى فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَقَالَ ارْجِعْ فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّهَا مِنْ اللَّهِ صِرَّى أَيْ حَتْمٌ فَلَمْ أَرْجِعْ

Narrated to us [Amr bin Hisham] he said : Having told us [Makhlad] from [Sa'id bin Abdul Aziz] he said :Narrated to us [Yazid bin Abu Malik] he said : It wasNarrated to us [Anas bin Malik] that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I was given a mount smaller than a mule (an animal resulting from a cross between a horse and a donkey - trans.) and larger than a donkey, whose pace was as fast as the eye could see. Gabriel (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and I mounted it and we started walking. Then Gabriel (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Get down and pray!' Then I prayed. He (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Do you know where you pray?' You prayed in Taibah, which is where the people should migrate. Then Gabriel (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Get down and pray!' Then I prayed. Gabriel (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: 'Do you know where you pray?' You prayed in Tursinah, which is where Allah spoke to Musa (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then Gabriel (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Go down and pray! So I went down and prayed. He asked again, do you know where you prayed? You prayed in Baitul Lahm, which is where Jesus (peace be upon him) was born. Then I entered Baitul Maqdis, and the Prophets (peace be upon him) were gathered for me. Then I was ordered by Gabriel (peace be upon him) to lead them. Then I was invited to ascend to the heavens of the world and there was Adam (peace be upon him). Then I was invited to ascend to the second heaven, and it turned out there were Jesus and Yahya (peace be upon him). Then I was invited to the third heaven, and it turned out there was Joseph (peace be upon him). Then I was invited to the fourth heaven, and it turned out there was Aaron (peace be upon him). Then I was invited to the fifth heaven, and it turned out there was Idris (peace be upon him). Then I was invited to the sixth heaven, and it turned out there was Moses (peace be upon him). Then I was invited to the seventh heaven, and it turns out there was Ibrahim? laihis Greetings. Then I was lifted up above the seven heavens until we arrived at Sidratul Muntaha, and suddenly a cloud covered me and I fell prostrate, then it was said to me: Verily, on the day I created the heavens and the earth, I made it mandatory for you and your people to pray fifty times, so do it by you and your people, then I went back to Ibrahim, but he did not ask me anything, then I went to Moses, and he asked me; 'What is the number of obligations that Allah has assigned to you and your people, I answered: Pray fifty times. Moses said : you and your people will not be able to carry it out, return to your Rabb and ask Him for relief. I went back to my Rabb, then He reduced it by ten, then I went to Musa, but he told me to go back, I went back and Allah reduced it by ten again, this happened over and over again until finally it became five times. But Moses still told me to ask for leniency, as Allah made it obligatory on the Children of Israel to pray twice, but they were unable to perform it, so I returned to my Lord to reduce it again. Allah replied: Indeed, when I created the heavens and the earth, I made it obligatory on you and your people to pray fifty times, so these five times are equal to fifty, so do them, you and your people. I realized that the command was from Allah, the Almighty. Then I returned to Moses, peace be upon him, and he said: Go back. But I did not return because it was a definite decree of Allah.
