Lautan itu suci airnya dan halal bangkainnya (untuk dimakan)
Imam Ahmad : 22017حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ الْكِنَانِيِّ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ بَعْضَ بَنِي مُدْلِجٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَرْكَبُونَ الْأَرْمَاثَ فِي الْبَحْرِ لِلصَّيْدِ فَيَحْمِلُونَ مَعَهُمْ مَاءً لِلسَّفَرِ فَتُدْرِكُهُمْ الصَّلَاةُ وَهُمْ فِي الْبَحْرِ وَأَنَّهُمْ ذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا إِنْ نَتَوَضَّأْ بِمَائِنَا عَطِشْنَا وَإِنْ نَتَوَضَّأْ بِمَاءِ الْبَحْرِ وَجَدْنَا فِي أَنْفُسِنَا فَقَالَ لَهُمْ هُوَ الطَّهُورُ مَاؤُهُ الْحَلَالُ مَيْتَتُهُ
Narrated to us [Yazid] has informed us [Yahya] from ['Abdullah bin Al Mughirah bin Abu Burdah Al Kinani] that he told him that [one of the Bani Mudhij] told him that they were on a raft in the sea to fish, they carried water for the journey then the time for prayer came while they were still at sea, they told this to the Prophet Peace be upon him, they said: 'If we perform ablution with that water, we will get thirsty and if we perform ablution with sea water we will suffer harm. Rasulullah Peace be upon him said to them: "(The sea) has clean water, halal carcasses.
