Imam Ahmad : 12471حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ مُرَّ بِجِنَازَةٍ فَأَثْنَى الْقَوْمُ خَيْرًا فَقَالَ وَجَبَتْ ثُمَّ مُرَّ بِجَنَازَةٍ أُخْرَى فَأُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا شَرًّا فَقَالَ وَجَبَتْ فَقَالُوا قُلْتَ لِهَذَا وَجَبَتْ وَلِهَذَا وَجَبَتْ قَالَ شَهَادَةُ الْقَوْمِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ شُهَدَاءُ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ
Narrated to us [Yunus bin Muhammad] Narrated to us [Hammad, namely Ibn Zaid] from [Tsabit] from [Anas] said, there was a body that passed by and his people praised it, then the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him said, "Certainly" then passed by another corpse and then at its reproach, then The Messenger of Allah shallallahu'alaihi wasallam said, "Certainly". They said, "You say this is certain and the other is certain", so he said, "The testimony of a people and the believers, are the witnesses of Allah on earth.
