Imam Nasa'i : 1158أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَيْفٌ الْمَكِّيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ يَقُولُعَلَّمَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ التَّشَهُّدَ كَمَا يُعَلِّمُنَا السُّورَةَ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ وَكَفُّهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
Narrated to us [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] he said :Narrated to us [Al Fadhl bin Dukain] he said :Narrated to us [Saif Al Makkiy] he said : I heard [Mujahid] say; has told me [Abu Ma'mar] he said : I heard ['Abdullah] say; "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught us how to perform tasyahud as he taught us a letter from the Qur'an - and his palms in front of him -: 'At-tahiyyatut lillaahi was-shalawaatu wath-thayyibaatu, assalaamu 'alaika ayyuhan-nabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh, assalaamu 'alainaa wa 'ala 'ibadillaahish-saalihiin, asyhadu allaa ilaah illallaah wa asyhadu anna Muhamadan abduhu wa rasuuluh (Honor, mercy and goodness are only for Allah. May peace, mercy and blessings be upon you, O Prophet. May peace also be upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no One worthy of worship except Allah, and Muhammad is His servant and messenger).
