Imam Tirmidzi : 1619

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خَيْرُ الْخَيْلِ الْأَدْهَمُ الْأَقْرَحُ الْأَرْثَمُ ثُمَّ الْأَقْرَحُ الْمُحَجَّلُ طَلْقُ الْيَمِينِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَدْهَمَ فَكُمَيْتٌ عَلَى هَذِهِ الشِّيَةِحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ

Narrated to us [Ahmad bin Muhammad] said, informed us [Abdullah Ibnul Mubarak] said, informed us [Ibnu Lahi'ah] from [Yazid bin Abu Habib] from [Ali bin Rabah] from [Abu Qatadah] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: 'The best horse is one that is jet black, with a white blaze on its face, and white on its nose and upper lip. Then a horse with a white blaze on its face, white on its legs, and white on its right leg. If there is no jet-black horse, then a dark red one with these characteristics.' Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Basysyar] said, narrated to us [Wahb bin Jarir] said, narrated to us [my father] from [Yahya bin Ayyub] from [Yazid bin Abu Habib] with this chain, with the same meaning.' Abu Isa said: 'This hadith is hasan gharib sahih.'
