Rasulullah apabila bertakbir maka beliau mengangkat kedua tangannya hingga sejajar dengan kedua telinganya
Imam Abu Dawud : 820حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَقُلْتُ لَأَنْظُرَنَّ إِلَى صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ فَكَبَّرَ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى حَاذَتَا بِأُذُنَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ شِمَالَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ رَفَعَهُمَا مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَافْتَرَشَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَحَدَّ مِرْفَقَهُ الْأَيْمَنَ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَقَبَضَ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَحَلَّقَ حَلْقَةً وَرَأَيْتُهُ يَقُولُ هَكَذَا وَحَلَّقَ بِشْرٌ الْإِبْهَامَ وَالْوُسْطَى وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ
Narrated to us [Musaddad], narrated to us [Bisyr bin Al Mufadlal] from ['Ashim bin Kulaib] from [his father] from [Wa'il bin Hujr], he said: 'I said: I will observe how the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, prays. He stood, faced the qibla, said "Allahu Akbar," raised his hands to his ears, then held his left hand with his right. When intending to bow, he raised his hands similarly.' He continued: 'Then he sat, placing his left foot under, his left hand on his left thigh, his right elbow on his right thigh, grasping two fingers, forming a circle. I saw him do this, and Bisyr formed a circle with his thumb and middle finger, pointing with his index finger.
