حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ عَسْكَرٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَيْتٌ لَا تَمْرَ فِيهِ جِيَاعٌ أَهْلُهُقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ سَلْمَى امْرَأَةِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُ الْبُخَارِيَّ عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَقَالَ لَا أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا رَوَاهُ غَيْرَ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَسَّانَ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Sahl bin Askar Al Baghdadi] and [Abdullah bin Abdurrahman], both said, narrated to us [Yahya bin Hassan], narrated to us [Sulaiman bin Bilal] from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Aisyah] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: 'A house without dates means its inhabitants are hungry (for those whose staple food is dates).' A similar hadith was narrated from Salma, the wife of Abu Rafi'. Abu Isa said: This is a hasan gharib hadith we only know it from the hadith of Hisyam bin Urwah through this chain. And I asked Al Bukhari about this hadith, and he replied, 'I do not know anyone who narrated it except Yahya bin Hassan.'
