و حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَ سَأَلُوا أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ عَنْ الْفَضِيخِ فَقَالَ مَا كَانَتْ لَنَا خَمْرٌ غَيْرَ فَضِيخِكُمْ هَذَا الَّذِي تُسَمُّونَهُ الْفَضِيخَ إِنِّي لَقَائِمٌ أَسْقِيهَا أَبَا طَلْحَةَ وَأَبَا أَيُّوبَ وَرِجَالًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِنَا إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ هَلْ بَلَغَكُمْ الْخَبَرُ قُلْنَا لَا قَالَ فَإِنَّ الْخَمْرَ قَدْ حُرِّمَتْ فَقَالَ يَا أَنَسُ أَرِقْ هَذِهِ الْقِلَالَ قَالَ فَمَا رَاجَعُوهَا وَلَا سَأَلُوا عَنْهَا بَعْدَ خَبَرِ الرَّجُلِ

"Narrated to us [Yahya bin Ayyub], narrated to us [Ibnu Ulayyah], informed us [Abdul Aziz bin Shuhaib], he said, 'People asked [Anas bin Malik] about a drink mixed from young dates.' He replied, 'We had no intoxicants except the mixed date drink you call Al Fadlikh. While I was serving it to Abu Thalhah, Abu Ayyub, and some companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at our house, a man came and said, "Have you heard the news?" We said, "No." He said, "Intoxicants have been forbidden." Abu Thalhah said, "O Anas, spill this container." Anas said, "After the man delivered the news, they returned and did not ask further about its ruling."'
