حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ انْهَزَمَ النَّاسُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَأُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَمُشَمِّرَتَانِ أَرَى خَدَمَ سُوقِهِمَا تَنْقُزَانِ الْقِرَبَ وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ تَنْقُلَانِ الْقِرَبَ عَلَى مُتُونِهِمَا ثُمَّ تُفْرِغَانِهِ فِي أَفْوَاهِ الْقَوْمِ ثُمَّ تَرْجِعَانِ فَتَمْلَآَنِهَا ثُمَّ تَجِيئَانِ فَتُفْرِغَانِهَا فِي أَفْوَاهِ الْقَوْمِ

It has been narrated to us by Abu Ma'mar, who narrated from 'Abdul Warith, who narrated from 'Abdul 'Aziz, from Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: During the Battle of Uhud, people fled from the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him. He said: 'Indeed, I saw 'Aishah bint Abu Bakr and Umm Sulaim hurrying so much that their anklets were visible, carrying water skins.' Another narrator said: 'Carrying water skins on their backs, then pouring it into the mouths of the people. Then they would return to fill them, come back, and pour them into the mouths of the people.'
