و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ ابْنُ الْعَلَاءِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ أُصِيبَ سَعْدٌ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ رَمَاهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ ابْنُ الْعَرِقَةِ رَمَاهُ فِي الْأَكْحَلِ فَضَرَبَ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْمَةً فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَعُودُهُ مِنْ قَرِيبٍ فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْخَنْدَقِ وَضَعَ السِّلَاحَ فَاغْتَسَلَ فَأَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ وَهُوَ يَنْفُضُ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الْغُبَارِ فَقَالَ وَضَعْتَ السِّلَاحَ وَاللَّهِ مَا وَضَعْنَاهُ اخْرُجْ إِلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَيْنَ فَأَشَارَ إِلَى بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ فَقَاتَلَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَزَلُوا عَلَى حُكْمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَدَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحُكْمَ فِيهِمْ إِلَى سَعْدٍ قَالَ فَإِنِّي أَحْكُمُ فِيهِمْ أَنْ تُقْتَلَ الْمُقَاتِلَةُ وَأَنْ تُسْبَى الذُّرِّيَّةُ وَالنِّسَاءُ وَتُقْسَمَ أَمْوَالُهُمْ و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ قَالَ قَالَ أَبِي فَأَخْبَرْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَقَدْ حَكَمْتَ فِيهِمْ بِحُكْمِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ

Narrated to us [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah] and [Muhammad bin Al 'Ala Al Hamdani], both from [Ibn Numair], [Ibn 'Ala] said: narrated to us [Ibn Numair], narrated to us [Hisyam] from [his father] from ['Aisyah], she said, 'During the Battle of Khandaq, Sa'd was shot by a Quraysh man named Ibn 'Ariqah, struck in his vein. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, set up a tent for him near the mosque to visit him. Returning from the Battle of Khandaq, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, laid down his weapons and bathed. Gabriel came, brushing dust from his head, and said, "Have you laid down your weapons (for peace)? By Allah, we must not lay down our weapons. Go out and fight them." The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Where should I go?" Gabriel signaled toward the settlement of Banu Quraizhah. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and the Muslims fought them. They surrendered and submitted to his judgment, but he entrusted the decision to Sa'd. Sa'd said, "I rule that all who fought be killed, their children and women be taken captive, and their wealth be distributed." Narrated to us [Abu Kuraib], narrated to us [Ibn Numair], narrated to us [Hisyam], he said: [my father] said, "I informed him that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: 'You have judged their matter with Allah’s judgment.'
