و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ قَالَ هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا وَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِعِمَّا لِلْمَمْلُوكِ أَنْ يُتَوَفَّى يُحْسِنُ عِبَادَةَ اللَّهِ وَصَحَابَةَ سَيِّدِهِ نِعِمَّا لَهُ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Rafi'], narrated to us [Abdurrazaq], narrated to us [Ma'mar] from [Hammam bin Munabih], he said: This is what [Abu Hurairah] narrated to us from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. He mentioned several hadiths, among them: [Abu Hurairah] said, 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The best slave is one who, upon death, has perfected worship to Allah and good conduct toward his master."'
