Kewajiban memberi budak makanan dan pakaian seperti yang dipakai tuannya, dan tidak membebaninya di luar kemampuannya
Imam Abu Dawud : 4491حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ قَالَدَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَبِي ذَرٍّ بِالرَّبَذَةِ فَإِذَا عَلَيْهِ بُرْدٌ وَعَلَى غُلَامِهِ مِثْلُهُ فَقُلْنَا يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ لَوْ أَخَذْتَ بُرْدَ غُلَامِكَ إِلَى بُرْدِكَ فَكَانَتْ حُلَّةً وَكَسَوْتَهُ ثَوْبًا غَيْرَهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِخْوَانُكُمْ جَعَلَهُمْ اللَّهُ تَحْتَ أَيْدِيكُمْ فَمَنْ كَانَ أَخُوهُ تَحْتَ يَدَيْهِ فَلْيُطْعِمْهُ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ وَلْيَكْسُهُ مِمَّا يَلْبَسُ وَلَا يُكَلِّفْهُ مَا يَغْلِبُهُ فَإِنْ كَلَّفَهُ مَا يَغْلِبُهُ فَلْيُعِنْهُقَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد رَوَاهُ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ نَحْوَهُ
Narrated to us [Musaddad], he said: narrated to us [Isa bin Yunus], he said: narrated to us [Al A'masy] from [Al Ma'rur bin Suwaid], he said: 'I met [Abu Dzar] at Rabadzah, and he was wearing the same cloth as his slave. We asked: O Abu Dzar! If you took your slave’s cloth and wore it, and gave him another cloth." Abu Dzar said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "They are your brothers Allah has placed them under your care. So whoever has his brother under his care, let him feed him as he eats, clothe him as he clothes himself, and not burden him beyond his capacity. If he burdens him beyond his capacity, let him assist him." Abu Dawud said: "[Ibnu Numair] narrated it from [Al A'masy] as such."'"'
