It has been narrated to us by Khollad bin Yahya, who narrated from Malik, that is, the son of Mighwal, who narrated from Thalhah bin Musharrif, who said: I asked 'Abdullah bin Abi Aufa, may Allah be pleased with them both: 'Did the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him, make a will?' He replied: 'No.' I asked again: 'How is it that making a will is obligatory for people or that they are commanded to make a will?' He replied: 'He made a will with the Book of Allah.'
