حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ قَالُوا أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَرَدَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ التَّبَتُّلَ وَلَوْ أَذِنَ لَهُ لَاخْتَصَيْنَاقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Narrated to us by [Al Hasan bin Ali Al Khallal] and others, they said; Informed us by [Abdurrazzaq], informed us by [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab] from [Sa'id bin Abu Waqash] who said; 'The Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him prohibited 'Utsman bin Mazh'un from celibacy. If he had permitted it, we would have castrated ourselves.' Abu Isa said; 'This is a hasan sahih hadith.'
