حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ بَيَانِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَأَنْ يَغْدُوَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيَحْتَطِبَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ فَيَتَصَدَّقَ مِنْهُ فَيَسْتَغْنِيَ بِهِ عَنْ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ رَجُلًا أَعْطَاهُ أَوْ مَنَعَهُ ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّ الْيَدَ الْعُلْيَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ وَالزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ وَعَطِيَّةَ السَّعْدِيِّ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَمَسْعُودِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَثَوْبَانَ وَزِيَادِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الصُّدَائِيِّ وَأَنَسٍ وَحُبْشِيِّ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ وَقَبِيصَةَ بْنِ مُخَارِقٍ وَسَمُرَةَ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ يُسْتَغْرَبُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ بَيَانٍ عَنْ قَيْسٍ

Narrated to us [Hannad], narrated to us [Abu Al Ahwash] from [Bayan bin Bisyr] from [Qais bin Abu Hazim] from [Abu Hurairah], he said, I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Indeed if one of you goes out in the morning to collect firewood and carries it on his back, with which he can give charity and suffice his needs from people, that is better than begging from others whether they give him or not, because indeed the upper hand is better than the lower hand and start giving from those under your responsibility". (Narrator) said, in this chapter (there is also narration -pent) from Hakim bin Hizam, Abu Sa'id, Zubair bin Awwam, 'Athiyyah Assa'di, Abdullah bin Mas'ud, Mas'ud bin Amru, Ibnu Abbas, Tsauban, Ziyad bin Harits Ash Shuda'i, Anas, Hubsyi bin Junadah, Qabishah bin Mukhariq, Samrah and Ibnu Umar. Abu 'Isa said, The hadith of Abu Hurairah is a hasan sahih gharib hadith that is gharib from the hadith of Bayan bin Qais.
