Narrated to us [Mahmud bin Ghailan] has related to us [Abu Dawud] has related to us [Syu'bah] from [Mansur] he said : I heard [Abu Wa`il] from [Abdullah] from the Prophet peace be upon him , he said: "How bad it is for one of them or one of you to say; "I forgot such and such a verse," even he is forgetful (created with a forgetful nature), therefore memorize the Qur'an, by the One in Whose hand is my soul, the release (of the Qur'an) from a person's heart is more terrible than the release of a camel from its tether." Abu Isa said : This hadith is hasan sahih.
