حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَرَّادٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَثَلُ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي يُذْكَرُ اللَّهُ فِيهِ وَالْبَيْتِ الَّذِي لَا يُذْكَرُ اللَّهُ فِيهِ مَثَلُ الْحَيِّ وَالْمَيِّتِ

Narrated to us by [Abdullah bin Barrad Al Ash'ari] and [Muhammad bin Al 'Ala'] both said, Narrated to us by [Abu Usamah] from [Buraid] from [Abu Burdah] from [Abu Musa] from the Prophet (peace be upon him), he said: 'The likeness of a house in which the name of Allah Almighty is always mentioned and a house in which the name of Allah is never mentioned is like the living and the dead.'
