Narrated to us [Sa'id bin Manshur], "Narrated to us [Hushaim], informed us [Husain bin Abdurrahman], he said, 'I was with [Sa'id bin Jubair], and he said, "Who among you saw the falling star last night?" I replied, "I did." Then I said, "But I wasn’t praying, as I was stung (by an animal)." Sa'id said, "What did you do?" I replied, "I sought ruqyah." Sa'id asked, "What made you do that?" I replied, "A hadith "Narrated by [ash-Sha'bi]." Sa'id asked, "What did ash-Sha'bi narrate to you?" I replied, "He "Narrated to us from [Buraidah bin Husaib al-Aslami], that he said, 'There is no ruqyah except for the evil eye or fever (poisoning).'" Sa'id replied, "Those who act on what they hear do well, but [Ibn Abbas] "Narrated to us from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: 'Allah showed me groups of humanity. I saw a prophet with a group, a prophet with one or two men, and a prophet with no followers. Then I saw a large group and thought they were my nation, but I was told, "This is Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) and his people. Look to the horizon." I looked and saw a large group. I was told, "Look to the other horizon." There was another large group. I was told, "This is your nation, and among them are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood and entered his house. People discussed those who would enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment. Some said, "Perhaps they are those who accompanied the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." Others said, "Perhaps they are those born in Islam and never associated partners with Allah." They offered various opinions. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out and asked, "What have you been discussing?" They explained, and he said: "They are those who do not use ruqyah, do not seek ruqyah, do not believe in omens, and rely on their Lord." Ukkashah bin Mihshan stood and said, "Pray to Allah that I be among them." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are among them." Then another man stood and said, "Pray to Allah that I be among them." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ukkashah has preceded you."'
