أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَوْنٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُقَالَ عُمَرُ لِسَعْدٍ قَدْ شَكَاكَ النَّاسُ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ أَتَّئِدُ فِي الْأُولَيَيْنِ وَأَحْذِفُ فِي الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ وَمَا آلُو مَا اقْتَدَيْتُ بِهِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَقَالَ ذَاكَ الظَّنُّ بِكَ

Narrated to us [Amr bin Ali] he said :Narrated to us [Yahya bin Sa'id] he said :Narrated to us [Shu'bah] he said : told me [Abu 'Aun] he said : "I heard [Jabir bin Samurah] him say; "Umar said to Sa'ad, 'The people (residents of Kufa) complain about you about everything, even in matters of prayer! ' [Sa'ad] said : 'I didn't rush (it took a long time) in the first two rak'ahs and lightened up the last two rak'ahs. I do not reduce the prayer that I imitate from the prayer of the Prophet sallallaahu'alaihi wasallam.' Umar said : 'That's what you're accused of'."
