حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنِ سِنَانٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ بَصْرِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مِينَاءَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ قَبْلِي كَرَجُلٍ بَنَى دَارًا فَأَكْمَلَهَا وَأَحْسَنَهَا إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَيَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْهَا وَيَقُولُونَ لَوْلَا مَوْضِعُ اللَّبِنَةِوَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Isma'il] has told us [Muhammad bin Sinan] has told us [Sulaim bin Hayyan Bashri] has told us [Sa'id bin Mina`] from [Jabir bin Abdullah] he said : The Prophet peace be upon him said: "Indeed, my parable with the prophets before me is like someone who builds a house, then he finishes and beautifies it except for one place of bricks that is missing, then people enter it and they are amazed by it, they say; "If it weren't for one place of bricks." Abu Isa said : In this case, there is a similar hadith from Ubay bin Ka'ab and Abu Hurairah. Abu Isa said : This hadith is hasan sahih gharib from this route.
