Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Abdul Malik bin Abu Asy Syawarib], he said: narrated to us [Yazid bin Zurai'], he said: narrated to us [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from [Abu Salamah], he said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'If prayer is established, do not come to it hastily, but come walking and calmly. What you catch, pray it, and what you miss, complete it.'" He said: "In this chapter there is also a narration from Abu Qatadah, Ubai bin Ka'ab, Abu Sa'id, Zaid bin Tsabit, Jabir, and Anas." Abu Isa said: "Scholars differ on walking to the mosque. Some hold that one is encouraged to hasten if fearing missing the first takbir. Until it is mentioned that some of them walked fast when attending prayer. While others hold disliking hurrying to attend prayer. They choose walking calmly and with dignity. This opinion is taken by Ahmad and Ishaq. Both said: 'Acting upon (this) is based on the hadith of Abu Hurairah.' Ahmad said: 'If one fears losing the first takbir, then it is fine to walk hastily.'" Narrated to us [Al Hasan bin Ali Al Khallal], he said: narrated to us [Abdurrazaq], he said: informed us [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from [Sa'id bin Al Musayyib] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as the hadith of Abu Salamah from Abu Hurairah with similar meaning. Abdurrazaq said: "The hadith of Abu Sa'id from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is more sahih than the hadith from Yazid bin Zurai'." Narrated to us [Ibnu Abu Umar], he said: narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Az Zuhri] from [Sa'id bin Al Musayyib] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as the previous hadith."
