و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ بُنْدَارٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِأَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَجَعَلَ يَسُبُّ كُفَّارَ قُرَيْشٍ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا كِدْتُ أُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاللَّهِ إِنْ صَلَّيْتُهَا قَالَ فَنَزَلْنَا بُطْحَانَ فَتَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَوَضَّأْنَا فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَصْرَ بَعْدَ مَا غَرَبَتْ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بَعْدَهَا الْمَغْرِبَقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Basyar Bundar] he said: narrated to us [Mu'adz bin Hisyam] he said: narrated to me [my father] from [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] he said: narrated to us [Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman] from [Jabir bin Abdullah] he said: "During Khandaq 'Umar bin Khaththab cursed the Quraysh disbelievers saying 'O Messenger of Allah I nearly missed 'Asr until sunset!' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) replied: 'By Allah I have not prayed it.' Jabir said: 'We stopped at Buthhan (a valley in Madinah) the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed wudu and we did then he prayed 'Asr after sunset then Maghrib.'" Abu Isa said: "This hadith is hasan sahih."
