Narrated to us [Sa'id bin Abdurrahman Al Makhzumi], narrated to us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Az Zuhri] from [Al A'raj] from [Abu Hurairah], he said: I heard him say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If your neighbor asks permission to rest wood on your wall, do not forbid him." When Abu Hurairah narrated this, they nodded heads he said: I see you turning from it, but by Allah, I will thrust it between your shoulders. He said: In this matter, there is a similar hadith from Ibnu Abbas and Mujammi' bin Jariyah. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Abu Hurairah is hasan sahih and acted upon by some scholars Asy Syafi'i said so, and narrated from some like Malik bin Anas: He may forbid his neighbor placing wood on his wall but the first opinion is more sahih."
