حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَكَانَتْ الْعَضْبَاءُ لَا تُسْبَقُ فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ عَلَى قَعُودٍ لَهُ فَسَابَقَهَا فَسَبَقَهَا الْأَعْرَابِيُّ فَكَأَنَّ ذَلِكَ شَقَّ عَلَى أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ حَقٌّ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ لَا يَرْفَعَ شَيْئًا مِنْ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا وَضَعَهُحَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ بِهَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ لَا يَرْتَفِعَ شَيْءٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا وَضَعَهُ

Narrated to us [Musa bin Isma'il] said, narrated to us [Hammad] from [Thabit] from [Anas] he said, 'Al Adhba (the Prophet's camel name) was never defeated in racing. Then an Arab Bedouin came with his mount. The Prophet's camel defeated the Bedouin's camel, but then the Bedouin's camel defeated it back. Thus this made the companions' hearts of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) uncomfortable, he then said: 'It is Allah's right, that He does not elevate anything in this world except He humbles it back.' Narrated to us [An Nufaili] said, narrated to us [Zuhair] said, narrated to us [Humaid] from [Anas] with this story, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), he said: 'Indeed, it is Allah's right, that He does not elevate anything in this world except He humbles it back.'
